The England international, who has enjoyed a stunning start to life in Spain, has been voted the Golden Boy, meaning he has been crowned the best footballer in the world under the age of 21, according to journalists. Bellingham also won the Kopa Trophy, where he was again recognised as the best U21 player on the planet, this time in an award presented by France Football alongside the Ballon d'Or.

Previous winners of the award include the likes of Wayne Rooney and Lionel Messi, while the holder was Barcelona's Gavi. This year, Bellingham was up against the likes of Jamal Musiala at Bayern Munich, Manchester United's Rasmus Hojlund and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, but he won by a landslide, receiving a staggering 97% of the votes. Kylian Mbappe received the same share when he won the award in 2017.
