Former Premier League player and now talkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has shared his verdict on West Ham United full-back Vladimir Coufal amid rumours linking the defender with a move away from east London.
The Lowdown: Coufal linked with West Ham exit
Last month, it was claimed that the Czech Republic international had held positive talks over a potential move to Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen. Since then, it has been reported that the Irons would accept a transfer fee of £6m for the right-back.
This has now led to Agbonlahor sharing his thoughts on the West Ham player and the possibility of him leaving the London Stadium in January.
The Latest: Agbonlahor drops Coufal verdict
Speaking to Football Insider, the 36-year-old was critical of Coufal’s distribution and is not surprised that he is seemingly disposable in GSB’s view.
Agbonlahor said: “I understand Coufal being up for sale. For me, his delivery is not up to scratch. He hasn’t got a great delivery.
“West Ham need to be looking at better players. If they want to get back into Europe next season they need more talented players in that team.”

The Verdict: Decision facing West Ham
With nine Premier League appearances to his name this season, the 30-year-old has racked up one of the lowest passing accuracy percentages (62.7%) at the club, which backs up what Agbonlahor said about the defender’s poor delivery and passing.
Having earned himself a rather underwhelming overall performance rating of 6.42/10 from WhoScored for his efforts in the top flight, leaving 12 West Ham players with higher ratings, this also makes it easy to see why the talkSPORT pundit has questioned Coufal’s quality.
Taking all of that into account, while it may be understandable as to why the Irons could be looking to offload the full-back, we feel that they may be better off waiting until next summer just in case they end up needing to rely on him throughout the rest of the season in case of injuries or suspensions elsewhere.
